Easiest Way To Create A Vision Board

…and chase your dreams!

Without goals we only exist – we need dreams and goals that motivate us to get out of bed and create our dream life.

Creating a vision board for your future is such a fun thing to do. Over the last years, I found a way that works best for me and is so easy to do. Back then I gathered all my magazines and cut them out and but that can be pretty time-consuming and I don’t really have that many magazines now. So, if you’re like me and want a more efficient way here is what I do:

Start envisioning your future

It starts by thinking a few weeks or even months about the new year, what you want it to be and what you would like to accomplish. Also, you could think about if it’s one year from now – what should have happened so that you can say it was the best year of your life? What do you want to have done by that? And then go backwards and think about the steps that you need to get where you want to be.

Set small and big dream goals

When creating your vision board it’s best to combine smaller and attainable goals that you can get accomplished in the next weeks and months and your big dream goals. That you may have no control over and won’t accomplish in a year but still they stand for the life that you want to have.

Theme for the new year

Also, think about a theme for your new year or some keywords that you want to focus on.

Photos and quotes

Then, gather all the photos and quotes in a folder on your computer. Think about your goals and dreams and then look for photos that get you excited for these goals. You can simply search on Google or Pinterest.

Step by Step Guide to Create your vision board

  1. Open PowerPoint or Keynote on your computer and create a presentation.
  2. Adjust the background if you want it for example in another color (I love pink of course)
  3. After, add all the photos and spread them out how you want them to lay out.
  4. Now you can add some quotes or even keywords that go with your theme for the next year like for example „health is wealth“ „kindness“. I also like to add the year to it.
  5. Now you can print it and hang it where you can see it every day. Back then I used posterboards but I really like the size of these you can put them in your binder or wherever you like. Also, I like to keep all my vision boards from the last years in a binder which is way easier than if you have one a big poster board. You can also save it as your background photo or wallpaper on your computer. Whatever keeps you motivated and inspired.

Ohne Ziele existieren wir nur – wir brauchen Träume und Ziele, die uns motivieren!

Das Erstellen von Visionboards kann sehr viel Spaß machen, aber auch sehr aufwendig sein. So sehr, dass man das vielleicht verschiebt und gar nicht erst anfängt. Auch wenn mir das immer sehr viel Spaß gemacht hat, alle Zeitschriften durch zu stöbern, auszuschneiden und alles auf ein Plaket zu kleben, ist das nicht effizient. Außerdem bewahre ich meine Visionboards gerne in einem Ordner auf und das geht deutlich einfacher, wenn das Visionboard nicht ein großes Plakat ist.

Daher hier meine Tipps wie man ein Visionboard schnell und effizient erstellt

Stell dir deine Traumzukunft vor und denke über das nächste Jahr nach

Das Erstellen des Visionboards beginnt indem man ein paar Wochen oder sogar Monate über das neue Jahr nachdenkt – wie es sein soll und was man erreichen möchte. Einfach Tagträumen über die Zukunft. Man kann auch rückwärts vorgehen, in dem man so tut als wäre jetzt bereits der 31.12.21 und überlegen was passiert sein soll, damit wir sagen können, das war das beste Jahr unseres Lebens. Wenn man das vor Augen hat, überlegt man welche Schritte sind nötig um an das Ziel näher zu kommen.

Setze kleine erreichbare Ziele und große Traumziele

Die Kombination dieser Ziele ist wichtig. Denn wenn wir nur große Ziele aufzeichnen, die sich nicht so schnell erfüllen, können wir schnell entmutigt sein. Daher ist es wichtig große Ziele zu haben, aber auch genug kleine erreichbare Ziele bzw. Zwischenziele, die uns unserem großen Ziel näherbringen sollen. Auch ist es oftmals so, dass wir über die richtig großen Träume und Wünsche in unserem Leben nicht allzu viel Kontrolle haben, daher ist es wichtig, Ziele zu setzen über die wir die Kontrolle haben und durchführen können.

Überleg dir auch ein Motto für das neue Jahr

… oder einige Schlagwörter, die dir für das neue Jahr wichtig sind.

Fotos und Zitate

Jetzt kommt der spaßige Teil – jetzt kannst du nach Fotos suchen, die zu den Zielen und Träumen passen. Damit das Visionboard effektiv ist, ist es wichtig Illustrationen zu finden, die Begeisterung in uns hervorrufen und wir mit ihnen positive Gefühle verbinden. Man kann sich auf Instagram, Google oder Pinterest Inspirationen holen. Und auch Sprüche, die dich motivieren sollen, kannst du auswählen – oder Platz lassen und es selbst hinschreiben. Die Fotos dann alle in einem Ordner speichern.

Schritt-für-Schritt-Anleitung zum Erstellen eines Visionboards

  1. Wenn du alle Fotos zusammen hast, kannst du beginnen. Hierzu öffnest du einfach Powerpoint oder Keynote und kannst wie folgt vorgehen.
  2. Zunächst einmal, wenn du möchtest, kannst du den Hintergrund formatieren in der Farbe, die dir am besten gefällt. Aber das kannst du auch noch später ändern oder einfach weiß lassen.
  3. Dann kannst du alle Fotos hinzufügen oder reinkopieren und diese verteilen.
  4. Anschließend kannst du Zitate oder Stichwörter hinzufügen (Textfeld). Ich füge auch immer das jeweilige Jahr hinzu.
  5. Jetzt kannst du es ausdrucken und dort aufhängen, wo du es so oft wie möglich siehst. Zum Beispiel im Ordner, Schrank etc. Auch kannst du es als Desktophintergrund einstellen oder als Hintergrund auf dem Handy. Was auch immer dich am besten motiviert und inspiriert.
