- ABM always be moving (one of her daily mantras) – keeps the weight off and you accomplish a lot more in a day.

4. Make your own salad dressing with lemon, olive oil, and salt, pepper, oregano.
5. Eat mostly foods that come from the ground like fresh fruits, whole grains, and vegetables.
6. Eat only when you’re hungry
We don’t need nearly as much food as we think we do. “More is more” has become a cultural staple, and our restaurant portions are proof. Listen to your body. One day Maria realized it was 1:30 pm and she wasn’t hungry until then. Not everyone’s body needs breakfast. Listen to whatever your body tells you.
7. Eat only as much as you need in the moment. Take breaks while you eat to let your body digest.
8. Have food journal – any spiral notebook will do. Write down everything you eat. Studies show that women who keep a food journal lose six pounds more than women who don’t.
9. Make Sunday your prep day
On Sunday nights, she prepares meals and snacks for the upcoming work week. She makes a big batch of lima beans or lentils and keeps it in the fridge. She also cuts up fruits and veggies and places them in Tupperware. It’s a little time consuming but it puts YOU in control of your eating.
10. Healthy dessert ideas
Freeze your fruit – try freezing berries, mangos, etc. It takes longer to eat frozen fruits and feels more like a treat.
WEIGHT LOSS DRINKS
- Start your morning with a cup of plain hot water. Maria fills it in her travel coffee mug. It is probably the simplest yet most powerful dieting secret of all. (super healthy but also helped her lose 10 pounds)
- Don’t drink your calories. Studies show they aren’t as satisfying.
- Put lemons in your water instead.
- Green tea helps to lose weight
- If you’re hungry, have some hot water or chamomile tea. It’s filling and will curb your appetite.
- Secret weapon: Water – Drink 10 glasses of water each day (good for your skin and it fills you up)
EXTRA TIPS:
- Don’t be afraid to invest in anything that will help you achieve your diet and fitness goals.
- Drinking hot water – Clothes washed in hot water are cleaned better because the heat breaks up the dirt and allows you to carry it away. In our body, it is the same.
- Ask yourself: Have you ever regretted working out? (Motivation on days that she doesn’t feel like exercising)
- Baby Wipe shower: If you don’t have time to shower, give yourself a quick “shower” with baby wipes, deodorant, and perfume to refresh. For that, she always carries baby wipes with her.

- Dehne dich abends vor dem Schlafengehen
ERNÄHRUNGSTIPPS
- Hab immer gesunde Snacks bei dir. Maria belädt ihre Tupperware jeden Tag mit gesunden Snacks (Apfelscheiben, Karotten, Nüsse…)
- Belade deinen Teller mit Gemüse – Wenn du während einer Mahlzeit mehr Essen benötigst, versuche eine zusätzliche Portion Gemüse aufzuladen. Aufgrund der Ballaststoffe wird das dich sättigen.
- Nimm kleinere Bissen und kaue das Essen gründlich. Kleinere Bissen helfen dir langsamer zu essen.
- Mach dein eigenes Salatdressing mit Zitrone, Olivenöl und Salz, Pfeffer, Oregano.
- Iss hauptsächlich Lebensmittel die “aus dem Boden kommen” / vollwert Kost wie frisches Obst, Vollkornprodukte und Gemüse.
- Iss NUR, wenn du Hunger hast! Eines Tages realisierte Maria, dass es bereits 13 Uhr war und sie bis dahin überhaupt keinen Hunger hatte. Nicht jeder Körper braucht Frühstück. Hör auf deinen Körper wann DU Hunger hast.
- Iss nur so viel, wie du im Moment brauchst. Wir brauchen annähernd nicht so viel Essen wie wir denken. “Mehr ist mehr” ist zur Kultur geworden, und unsere riesiegen Portionen im Restaurant sind der Beweis dafür. Hör auf deinen Körper. Und mach kleine Pause während du isst um auf das Sättigungsgefühl zu warten.
- Führe ein Essenstagebuch und schreib alles auf was du isst. Hierzu kannst du auch jedes Notizheft verwenden. Studien zeigen dass Frauen, die ein Essenstagebuch führen, sechs Pfund mehr verlieren als Frauen, die dies nicht tun.
- Bereite dich Sonntags auf die Woche vor – Maria bereitet ihre Mahlzeiten und Snacks für die kommende Arbeitswoche vor. Hierzu macht sie eine große Menge Bohnen oder Linsen und bewahrt diese im Kühlschrank auf. Auch schneidet sie ihr Obst und Gemüse im voraus.
- Gesund naschen – friere dein Obst ein z.B. Beeren, Mangos, Trauben usw. Das Essen von gefrorenen Früchten dauert länger und fühlt sich mehr wie ein Genuss an.
ABNEHMEN DURCH WASSER

ZUSÄTZLICHE TIPPS:
- Heißes Wasser trinken – In heißem Wasser gewaschene Kleidung wird besser gereinigt, da die Hitze den Schmutz aufbricht und Sie ihn wegtragen können. In unserem Körper ist es dasselbe.
- An Tagen an denen Maria keine Motivation hat Sport zu machen, hilft ihr sich diese Frage zu stellen: “Hab ich es jemals bereut, trainiert zu haben?”
- Wenn sie nach dem Workout keine Zeit zum duschen mehr hat, hat sie immer Babyputztücher dabei. “Babywipes Dusche”, Deo und Parfüm.
